Net Worth Update May : +$5,058

I track my net worth monthly on NetworthIQ. For May this month our net worth was at $585,757 which is up $5,058.

Only minor changes this past month. Cash went up a bit due to regular income. Stocks are down a little but retirement is up both due to movement in the stock market. Home and investment real estate values keep slipping gradually but our mortgages are being paid down.

  1. I tripped over your site and thought you were my brother. We have sayings like, "Set me free by 53", "54, I am out the door", etc., etc.

    I was curious, in this environment, to get a large pay increase, what type of work do you do?

    Also, how much time do you have until 50?

    I am in my late 30s and am just in the 500 club like yourself. I do, however, have 3 children and a non-working spouse.

    I'm in my late 30's myself. So I don't have all that long till I hit 50.

    I work in the high tech industry as an engineer. I do have a healthy pay rate. But I haven't gotten a "large pay increase" lately. No raises at work this past year. I'm happy to have a good paying job in this economy.
