up to 62% cash back on Tracfone, Straight Talk and Simple Mobile

I just noticed that Ebates is offering "up to" 62% cash back on Straight talk.     And I checked and their related companies Tracfone and Simple Mobile also have "up to" 62% back today.

The terms on the 62% cash back vary and are limited.    See the Ebates page for each vendor for the specifics.     But generally the 62% cash back is not available on the more expensive phones.   

EDIT to add :   cash back does NOT apply to purchases of just airtime.

Even so if you pick a good phone and plan combo you can find a  good deal right now after cash back.

The examples below are theoretical and I have not tried them.   

An example with Tracfone would be :  a reconditioned Samsung Galaxy J3 Luna Pro for $24.99 and the 1 year plan for $125 totaling $149.99.   After the 62% cash back net cost would be $57 
Note that the Tracfone terms are not totally clear to me.    It says 62% cash back on phones under $100, accessors and airtime.   If you buy a $25 phone and $125 airtime plan then I'm not sure if that falls under the "less than $100" entirely or not.   So this example deal MIGHT not work, depending on the exact terms of the cashback. 

Another alternative with Tracfone would be : reconditioned ZTE Zfive 2 for $9.99 plus the $35 two month 1GB plan.   This has a $4 discount as well so cost at check out is $40.99.   After 62% cash back the net cost is $15.58.


An example for Simple Mobile  :   Samsung Galaxy On5 phone for $19.99 plus a 3GB one month plan for $25 would be $44.99.   After 62% cash back the net cost would be $17.07

DirectTV Now + Ebates = Make $6 and Get a FREE Month of TV

DirectTV Now has a discount right now for $25 off of their normal $35 monthly subscription.   This makes the cost just $10.     Ebates  has $16 cash back for DirecTV now.   

If you combine the two deals you can get a free month of TV and make $6.   

$10 for the service with $16 cash back nets $6.

The deal is for new customers and negates the 7 day free trial.   But its better than 7 days anyway as you end up getting a full month for free.
Its a "limited time offer" but I don't see anything about when it expires exactly.   However this deal is for their birthday of the service so I expect it won't last too long.

Entertainment.com Books for $8.25 After Ebates Cash Back

Entertainment.com has their coupon books for $10 with free shipping.

Ebates is running 17.5% cash back on Entertainment.com.  

So using the Ebates site and buying a book you can get it for $8.25 total after the cash back.

The Entertainment.com site says its a "flash sale" so I don't know how long it will last.


I can't vouch for the quality of the coupon books nowadays and its going to depend on your local market and what you want as far as coupons.    Last time we bought a book we didn't use it but you may get better value out of it.

Shoebuy and Ebates : 12% cashback, 20% discount, Free Shipping PLUS Possible $5 cashback

One of the special deals I have in Ebates right now is for $5 cash back on Shoebuy with no minimum purchase.     These deals are YMMV so you may or may not see that deal.  

They also have 12% cashback and a coupon for 20% off with free shipping.   Thats about 30% discount combined.  

If you combine them all on a $50 item it comes out to about 40% net discount with free shipping.

HSN and Ebates - $10 Cash Back With NO Minimum Purchase -YMMV

I recently had a $10 cash back deal for QVC with Ebates and made about $5 on that one.   I checked my Ebates account again just now and found another very similar deal from HSN.    The offer is good till 6/26.

To find the offer I clicked on the link in the upper right hand corner to get to my account.    Then the offer was listed in the section "special bonus offer just for you".    I'm pretty sure these are targeted offers so YMMV.


Like the QVC deal this could be a money maker.    HSN has clearance deals some of which have free shipping.    I found a garment bag with free shipping for $5.    With $10 cash back that should net me $5.    Plus Ebates also pays 5% cash back on the purchase so I'll get another 25¢ on the deal.

For new HSN customers they also have a deal for $10 off of purchases of $20 using promo code BEAUTY10.    You could get $10 off and $10 cash back on a $20+ purchase.    That deal expires 5/31 though.

$10 Cash Back at QVC from Ebates for NO Minimum Purchase YMMV, possible Money Maker

I just logged into my Ebates account and noticed an offer there for $10 cash back at QVC with $0 minimum purchase.

To find the offer I clicked on the link in the upper right hand corner to get to my account.    Then the offer was listed in the section "special bonus offer just for you"
From the wording there I'm thinking this might be a targeted offer but I'm not sure, so YMMV.

This could be a money maker.    QVC has some clearance items that are under $10 and some of them have free shipping.   I just bought a clothing item on clearance for $5.06 with free S/H and that should qualify me for the $10 cashback and then should net me $4.94.

Update 5/18 :    I can confirm the $10 bonus deal works.  I ordered the item yesterday for $5.06 and today I see a $10 credit in my Ebates account.  I also got the normal Ebates 1% cashback for shopping at QVC

5 Large Pizzas for $23.5 at Papa Johns

First get a Groupon for a $25 egift card for Papa Johns for $25 plus 2 pizzas.   That deal will give you the $25 gift card and two promo codes for two pizzas.    Use Ebates  to buy the groupon and you get 6% back for $1.50 cash.  That makes the net cost $23.50

Then use your $25 gift card to order two pizzas using promo code CRAVE2 (expires 3/27) which gives you two pizzas for $7.99 each.   This will use up most of your gift card.   While making this order also enter the FREETHROW (expires 4/4) promo code to get yet another free pizza.

In total you'll have spent $23.50 and end up with 5 large pizzas.    You'll also have about $9 left on that gift card for another order if you want or to use for delivery charges.    Delivery is $4 at least where I live but you can do carry out for free.

$100 at Boxed at Livingsocial for About $60 Net

Right now Livingsocial has a deal to buy Boxed.com credits at a discount.   You can get $100 credit for $75 or a $175 credit for $125.   You can also get 15% off at Livingsocial.

details : You have to use the entire credit value in one purchase.   SO you can't use your $100 or $175 in multiple orders and if you don't use it all up in one order you'd lose the remainder.   You need to use the credit by Nov. 7th.    The livingsocial 15% deal expires 9/29.

For the $100 credit:
1. Go to Ebates*  and look up livingsocial and follow link to livingsocial to get 6% back
2. At Livingsocial find the Boxed.com deal for $100 for $75
3. Apply the promo code for 15% : 15SMOREOFF, that brings the price down to $63.75
4. once you get the Ebates*  cashback you ought to get another $3.82 back bring the net cost down to about $59.93

So that gets you $100 at Boxed.com for just under $60 total.    Or the $175 deal for about $105.

If you're new to Livingsocial then you can get 15% cash back by using the TopCashBack* portal and signing up as a new customer at Livingsocial.   That would make the net cost about $54.19

I'd of course recommend you first go to Boxed and review their inventory pretty closely to make sure you can really get good value out of $100 or $175 of credit in one buy.
Boxed.com actually seems to have pretty good prices for some stuff.    They beat Costco prices on two items we buy regularly.     Getting a 40% discount on top of their prices is a great deal for me.
The minimum order quantity at Boxed is $35 and you get free shipping at $75.
